Mosquitos Return

"Mahmoud Ahmadinejad doesn't care about Persian people!"
You tell 'em Kanye.

No word on whether "Welcome to Heartbreak" (directed by Nabil) will be playing on Mahmoud's iPod, or if he'll be stopping by the Apple Store to restock the CompIRI franchises that are popping up all over Tehran. But a rap career could be in his future, and the visit should spawn at least one SNL skit. They've already gone green atop the Empire State Building (albeit for the Vizard of Oz).

Ahmadinejad's 747 landed at John F. Kennedy Int'l last night. Over at his official blog, you'll get some details about the self-annointed "popular" prez.  I must say, it's really neat to see an IranAir plane docked at a U.S. airport. But I can't independently verify if that happened -- see the telling graphic below.

There's a ton of #IranElection protests and rallies around Manhattan for the next couple days. Head over to Voices4iran.org for all the details if you're in New York City and want to rain on Mahmoud's parade.

Don't forget to tell 'em Mr. West sent ya.
