Two Women, One Cusp

On Sunday night HBO premieres a four-part miniseries entitled "House of Saddam", the story of some ruler who used to rule some country in the Middleast for quite some time.

Playing the role of the despot's wife in the program will be
Mrs. Shohreh Aghdashloo, whom I last ran into at the theatre of Uni High in Santa Monica for a show written by her colorful playwright hubby, Houshang Touzie.

Speaking of presidents and hubbys, last night at the Vestside Pavilion I checked into a red carpet event for a new Nickelodeon show. On hand was the President of Programming of the network,
Cyma Zarghami.

Now I don't know if Mrs. Zarghami is Persian or just married to one Turns out Mrs. Zarghami was actually born in Iran, raised in Vermont, and currently one of the higher-ranking women executives in broadcast television.

Strangely, she shares a last name with
the president of another network, halfway across the world in the halfway house of the damned.
